Mizuno's latest ST 230 Drivers represent the culmination of four years of meticulous development and testing, resulting in tour-level performance enhanced by explosive distance, courtesy of CORTECH Chamber technology.
The CORTECH Chamber, strategically positioned near the face, encapsulates a stainless steel weight with elastomeric TPU. This innovative design diminishes spin while providing an additional energy source, boosting ball speed. Simultaneously, CORTECH alleviates stress on the face, enabling Mizuno engineers to utilize Forged SAT 2041 Beta Titanium. This material, more resilient than standard titanium, allows for a thinner, faster face with a multi-thickness design, preserving ball speed even on off-center strikes.
The ST-X 230 features a rounded, deeper profile with weight closer to the heel, generating slightly higher spin rates and a draw bias to counteract slices. Mizuno suggests that players who naturally draw the ball may experience increased ball speed with the ST-X.
