The Physics of Control: Why 16mm?
A thicker core works like a shock absorber. When a 50mph drive hits your paddle, a 16mm core disperses that energy, allowing you to "catch" the ball and drop it softly into the kitchen.
1. Dwell Time & Spin
Because the core is softer, the ball stays on the face for a fraction of a second longer (Dwell Time). This extra split second allows the Raw Carbon Surface to bite into the ball and generate massive topspin or slice.
2. Stability & Blocking
Thinner paddles can twist in your hand if you hit the ball off-center. Thick core paddles like the Titan Pro or Diadem Warrior are extremely stable. This expands the sweet spot, meaning even mishits will still go over the net.
