GearTrybe FAQs
Everything you need to know about GearTrybe Membership, private member pricing, Flex, returns and Vault Points.
GearTrybe Membership & Member Pricing
One membership unlocks GearTrybe's private pricing and Flex benefits.
What is the GearTrybe Membership? +
GearTrybe Membership gives members access to private member pricing on eligible products, a $60 annual Flex Credit, and access to eligible GearTrybe Flex gear.
How much does GearTrybe Membership cost? +
Membership is $10 per month, paid annually. You are charged $120 for the year.
What is included with membership? +
- Private member pricing on eligible products.
- A $60 annual Flex Credit.
- Access to eligible GearTrybe Flex products.
- Member switch pricing on eligible Flex replacements.
- Access to GearTrybe member benefits throughout the membership year.
Why can't I see the member price before I sign in? +
Some brands restrict how discounted pricing may be advertised publicly. GearTrybe therefore keeps qualifying member prices private.
If you are an active member, sign in to your GearTrybe account and eligible products will show the private member price associated with your account.
Do I have to be a member to shop at GearTrybe? +
No. Anyone can purchase standard merchandise from GearTrybe.
Membership is required when you want to use GearTrybe Flex or access private member benefits.
I'm already a member. How do I get my member price? +
Make sure you are signed in using the GearTrybe account associated with your membership. Eligible products will display your private member price, and the qualifying member pricing is applied at checkout.
Can member pricing be combined with every sale or promotion? +
Not necessarily. Eligibility can vary by product, brand, promotion and supplier requirements. The price shown to a signed-in member and the final checkout price control for that order.
GearTrybe Flex
Pay less upfront on eligible gear, use it, then keep it or switch it.
What is GearTrybe Flex? +
GearTrybe Flex is a member benefit available on select products. Instead of paying the full retail price upfront, you pay the product's applicable Flex amount and can use the gear for up to 10 months.
Before the final billing date, you can return eligible gear in accordance with the Flex terms and switch, or keep it. If the item is not returned before the final billing date, the remaining balance is charged and the gear becomes yours.
Is every product eligible for Flex? +
No. Flex is available only on selected products. Look for the Flex Eligible designation on the product page.
Products that are not Flex eligible can still be purchased normally, and qualifying member purchase pricing may still apply.
How does the $60 annual Flex Credit work? +
Your annual GearTrybe Membership includes a $60 Flex Credit. The credit can be applied to the amount due on an eligible Flex product.
On some products, the credit may reduce the amount due for the gear today all the way to $0. On higher-priced Flex products, the $60 credit reduces the amount you pay upfront.
How long can I use a Flex item? +
Eligible Flex gear may be used for up to 10 months.
Your applicable final billing date will determine when the remaining balance is due if the item is not returned.
What happens at the end of the 10-month Flex period? +
If the eligible Flex item has not been returned in accordance with the Flex terms before the final billing date, the remaining balance is automatically charged and the gear becomes yours.
Can I return a Flex item before 10 months and switch? +
Yes. If the item is eligible for return under the Flex terms, you can return it before the final billing date and access member switch pricing on another eligible product.
Do I get my initial Flex payment back when I return the gear? +
No. The initial Flex payment already paid is non-refundable.
An accepted Flex return allows you to avoid the applicable remaining product balance and, where eligible, move into another product at member switch pricing.
What condition does Flex gear need to be in when I return it? +
Flex gear must be returned complete and in acceptable condition. Normal sporting use is expected, but items may be rejected for missing components, unauthorized modification, abuse, fraud or damage beyond normal use.
Is Flex the same as a free trial? +
No. Flex is a member access program, not a free trial. Eligible members pay the applicable Flex amount, use the gear, and then either return it under the Flex terms or complete the purchase.
Orders & Checkout
Why is the cart asking me to become a member? +
If your cart contains a GearTrybe Flex item, an active membership is required.
You can sign in if you are already a member, add the GearTrybe Membership to your order, or remove the Flex item and continue with your standard merchandise purchase.
Can I purchase a Flex-eligible item normally instead? +
Yes, when the product page provides a standard purchase option. Flex eligibility does not mean you must use Flex.
When are shipping and taxes calculated? +
Applicable shipping charges and taxes are shown or calculated as part of the checkout process. Charges may vary based on the item, supplier and delivery location.
Can items in the same order arrive separately? +
Yes. GearTrybe works with multiple suppliers, so products in the same order may be fulfilled and shipped separately.
Tracking information is provided as the individual shipments are processed.
Standard Purchases & Returns
Standard merchandise returns and Flex returns follow different rules.
What is the return policy for a normal purchase? +
Standard merchandise returns are governed by the applicable supplier's return requirements. The product page identifies the applicable return window, required condition and any listed restocking fee.
Return terms can vary by product and supplier, so review the return information on the product page before ordering.
When will I receive my refund for a standard return? +
GearTrybe issues an eligible standard merchandise refund after the supplier approves the return and GearTrybe receives the corresponding supplier refund or account credit.
What happens if the supplier denies my standard return? +
If the supplier determines that the item does not qualify under its return policy, GearTrybe is not required to independently fund a refund that the supplier has denied.
This is why it is important to follow the return window, condition and packaging requirements shown for the item.
Are restocking fees possible? +
Yes. Some suppliers charge a restocking fee and others do not. When a known supplier restocking fee applies, GearTrybe displays it with the product's return information.
Are shipping charges refundable? +
An approved refund may be reduced by non-refundable original shipping, return shipping, supplier restocking fees or other costs that are not refunded to GearTrybe, where applicable.
Is returning Flex gear the same as returning a normal purchase? +
No. A normal purchase return is processed under the applicable supplier return policy.
An eligible Flex return is part of the GearTrybe Flex program. The initial Flex amount already paid is not refunded; instead, an accepted return before final billing prevents the applicable remaining product balance from being charged.
GearTrybe Rewards & Vault Points
What are GearTrybe Vault Points? +
Vault Points are GearTrybe reward points earned through qualifying purchases. Your points are associated with your GearTrybe customer account.
How many Vault Points will I earn? +
Earning rates may vary by product. Eligible product pages show an estimated number of Vault Points you can earn from the purchase.
Final points are determined by the completed qualifying transaction.
What do I get when I reach 2,000 Vault Points? +
Reach 2,000 Vault Points and you can unlock a 1-year GearTrybe Membership — a $120 value.
What happens to my points if I return an order? +
Points associated with merchandise that is returned, refunded or cancelled may be reduced or reversed from your Vault balance.
Do I need an account to track my Vault Points? +
Yes. Sign in to the account associated with your GearTrybe purchases to view the benefits and rewards connected to that account.
