Why choose a Standard Cuff?

In a world of oversized wrist straps, the classic cut remains the choice for pure hitters.

1. The Slapper's Choice

If you are a slap hitter or a contact hitter, you rely on your hands to manipulate the barrel. Long cuffs can feel restrictive. Standard cuffs sit right at the wrist bone, allowing for 100% range of motion.

2. Lightweight Feel

Less material means less bulk. Standard cuff gloves feel lighter on the hands, which helps increase hand speed through the zone.

Fit Check: A standard cuff should end right where your hand meets your wrist. If it covers your wrist bone entirely, you might be wearing a size too big.

Common Questions

Is there less protection?
Compared to a long cuff? Yes. Standard cuffs do not cover the wrist bone. If you get jammed by inside pitches often, you might want to look at our Long Cuff Collection or add a separate wrist guard.
Do these fit true to size?
Yes. Fastpitch sizes are smaller than baseball sizes. If you are switching from a youth baseball glove, you will likely need the same size (e.g., Youth Medium) in a fastpitch glove, but the fit will be tighter in the fingers.
