Why choose a Long Cuff?
The "Power Strap" style has taken over college softball. It's not just a look; it's a performance feature.
1. Wrist Stability
A double-wide strap acts like a weight belt for your wrist. It keeps your wrist stiff at the point of contact, transferring more energy from your swing into the ball. This is why 3-4 hitters love them.
2. Sliding Protection
If you play aggressively, you slide headfirst. A standard glove leaves your wrist bone exposed to scrapes and cleats. The long cuff acts as a built-in wrist guard, protecting you on every steal.
Fit Tip: Because of the extra material, these gloves can feel warmer in the summer. If you prioritize breathability and freedom of motion, check out our Standard Cuff Collection.
Common Questions
Is it harder to swing?
It feels different. You will have slightly less wrist roll, which forces you to use your forearms and core more. Most power hitters prefer this "locked-in" feeling.
Does it replace a wrist guard?
For sliding? Yes. For getting hit by a pitch? No. The leather cuff will prevent scrapes, but it won't stop a bruise from a 65mph fastball. You still need an EvoShield guard for impact protection.
