Buyer's Guide: Standard vs. Long Cuff

The biggest innovation in fastpitch gloves recently is the strap. Which one fits your game?

1. Standard Cuff

This is the classic look. The strap sits right at the base of the hand. It offers Maximum Mobility, allowing your wrists to roll over freely. Preferred by slappers and contact hitters who need bat control.

2. Long Cuff (Power Strap)

These gloves extend down the wrist (like a gauntlet). They offer Extra Support and stability. They also provide protection when sliding headfirst into bases. Preferred by power hitters who want a locked-in feel.

Pro Tip: Batting gloves get stiff from sweat and dirt. To make them last longer, let them air dry after games. Smart parents always keep a backup pair in the bag.

Common Questions

Do they come in pairs?
Yes. Unlike fielding gloves, batting gloves are almost always sold as a pair (Left & Right).
Can I wash them?
We don't recommend putting leather gloves in the washing machine as it can dry out the grip. Hand wash gently with cold water and mild soap if needed, then air dry.
Why do I need them?
Grip and Protection. They prevent blisters during long cage sessions and provide a tacky surface to keep the bat from slipping in sweaty hands during summer tournaments.
