What makes a good beginner paddle?

A good beginner paddle balances price with performance. You want something durable enough to last your first year of play, but forgiving enough to help you learn ball control.

1. Wide Body Shape

All the paddles in this collection feature a standard "Wide Body" shape. This maximizes the surface area from left to right, giving you a bigger target to hit the ball with. Elongated paddles (used by pros) are narrower and harder to use for new players.

2. Polymer Honeycomb Core

We do not sell cheap wood paddles. Every paddle here uses a Polymer Honeycomb Core. This is the industry standard technology that provides a soft feel and quiet sound on impact.

Common Questions

Can I use these in a tournament?
Yes! Even our entry-level paddles are USAPA approved. You can walk onto any court in America—recreational or tournament—and play legally.
Do these come with a cover?
Most individual paddles do include a neoprene cover to protect the face. Check the specific product description to be sure.
When should I upgrade?
You are ready to upgrade to a Carbon Fiber paddle (like the Titan or Monger) when you start playing competitively and need more Spin to curve the ball. Until then, these paddles are perfect.
