Common Questions About The Vault

Is this a Rent-to-Own program?
No. We are not a rent-to-own company. We are a membership platform that gives you Access to premium gear. You can try the bat, use it for a season, or swap it for a different size as your player grows. If you fall in love with a specific bat, there are options to keep it, but our primary focus is giving you the flexibility to rotate gear without the high upfront cost.
What does "$0 Due Today" mean?
For Alpha Ultra members, you pay nothing upfront to have a bat shipped to your door. You simply pay your active membership fee. This allows you to inspect the bat and take swings in the cage to ensure it's the right fit for your player before deciding to keep it in your rotation.
Are these bats certified for Travel Ball?
Yes. All bats in this collection are stamped with the USSSA 1.15 BPF mark, making them legal for most travel ball leagues (ages 8-13) and tournaments like Perfect Game, USSSA, and Ripken Baseball.
Why is the inventory so low?
This is a "Vault" collection. We source high-end composite bats (like the Hype Fire or CatX) that are often sold out elsewhere. Because we deal in high-demand inventory, items listed here are first-come, first-served.

Guide: Choosing the Right USSSA Bat

Finding the right bat in the USSSA Vault comes down to two main factors: The "Drop" weight and the construction.

1. Understanding the "Drop"

The "Drop" is the difference between the length of the bat (inches) and the weight (ounces). As players get stronger, the drop number gets smaller.

  • Drop -10 & -12: Best for younger players (Ages 8-10) focusing on bat speed and control.
  • Drop -8: The transition weight. Ideal for ages 11-12 who are getting stronger but aren't ready for a heavy bat.
  • Drop -5: Required for 13U travel ball in many leagues. This prepares players for the -3 BBCOR transition in High School.

2. Composite vs. Alloy

Most bats in our Vault are Composite. Composite bats generally offer a larger sweet spot and less vibration on the hands compared to alloy, making them the preferred choice for travel ball players looking for maximum performance.

Pro Tip: Not sure if a -8 or -5 is right? With Alpha Ultra, you can grab one of each to test in the cage, and simply return the one that doesn't fit your swing.
