Common Questions: Golf Vault

Is this a "Rent-to-Own" program?
No. Gear Trybe is a membership-based access program. You are paying for access to the equipment, similar to a library or a streaming service. While you do have the option to purchase gear you love, the core service is the ability to swap clubs and training aids as your game evolves.
How does the "Try Before You Buy" work?
Select any eligible item from the Vault—marked with the Trybe-It Badge. As an Alpha Ultra member, you pay $0 Due Today. We ship it to you. You have 14 days to test it on the range or the course. If you love it, you can keep it. If not, swap it for something else.
Why are there Training Aids in this collection?
Better equipment is only half the battle; better mechanics are the other half. We include top training aids in the Vault so you can work on your swing tempo, grip, or putting stroke without having to buy a device you might only use for a few weeks.
The specific club I want isn't listed. Why?
This is a "Vault" collection, meaning it reflects our live, available inventory. Because our inventory is constantly circulating among members, what you see here is what is currently in the warehouse and ready to ship. If you see something you like, grab it fast.

Why Demo on the Course?

Most golfers buy clubs based on 10 swings in a simulator hitting off a perfect mat. That isn't real golf. The Gear Trybe advantage is getting the club in your bag for real rounds.

1. Real Turf Interaction

Mats hide fat shots. Real grass tells the truth. You need to see how the sole of a wedge or iron interacts with the turf at your home course, not inside a retail store.

2. Course Management

A driver might go 300 yards in a sim, but can you control it on a tight dogleg? Testing a club during a real round puts pressure on the swing that a simulator can't replicate.

3. The "New Club" Honeymoon Phase

Every club feels great for the first 5 swings. By Day 10 of your trial, you'll know if that putter truly fits your stroke or if the training aid is actually helping your mechanics.

Pro Tip: Pair a Driver with a Tempo Trainer. Use the training aid to warm up, then test the driver. It's the fastest way to see real results during your trial.
