Buyer's Guide: The Canvas Advantage

White Duck canvas tents are an investment in a lifetime of camping. Here is why they outperform standard nylon tents.

1. Breathability & Insulation

Nylon tents trap moisture, leading to condensation in the morning. Canvas breathes. It keeps you cool in the summer and holds warmth in the winter, making it a true 4-season shelter.

2. Stove Compatibility

Most of our Regatta and Avalon tents come with a pre-installed, fire-resistant Stove Jack. This allows you to safely install a wood-burning stove inside the tent, turning your campsite into a warm cabin.

3. Sizing Guide

10' Bell Tent: Fits 2 people comfortably with gear (or a Queen bed).
13' Bell Tent: Fits 4 people or a small family.
16' Bell Tent: The "Glamping Suite." Fits a King bed, chairs, and a stove comfortably.

Maintenance: Never store a canvas tent while it is wet. Mold is the enemy of canvas. Always let it dry completely in the sun before packing it away in the bag.

Common Questions

How heavy are these tents?
Canvas is heavy duty. A 13' Regatta tent weighs about 70 lbs. These are designed for "Car Camping" or setting up a hunting basecamp, not for backpacking.
What is the floor made of?
Our tents feature a heavy-duty, sewn-in PE Groundsheet. It is waterproof and bathtub-style (raises up the sides) to keep groundwater and bugs out.
