The TaylorMade MG5 wedge is designed for golfers who demand precision, feel, and high spin performance in their short game. It’s the latest evolution in TaylorMade’s Milled Grind series, with several upgrades aimed at both tour professionals and serious amateurs.

1. Fully Forged Construction
The MG5 is the first in the Milled Grind line to feature a fully forged head, made from soft carbon steel. This construction delivers a noticeably soft, responsive feel at impact, favored by better players.

2. Maximum Spin Performance
The wedge uses saw-milled grooves with tighter tolerances and sharper edges to increase spin. These grooves are designed to grip the ball more effectively, especially on finesse shots around the green.

3. Spin Tread Technology
The face is left unplated (raw) to rust naturally over time, which maintains friction. It also incorporates laser-etched Spin Tread channels that help manage moisture and debris, improving spin consistency in wet or damp conditions.

4. Precision Milling
Each wedge is machine-milled to exacting specifications, including the sole grinds. This ensures consistency from wedge to wedge and minimizes the variability that can come from traditional hand polishing.

5. Refined Shaping
