Elongated Control Questions

Who is this shape for?
The Elongated Control shape is for the "All-Court" player. You want the soft 16mm core to help you reset hard drives and dink consistently, but you also want the extra length (16.5") to attack high balls and generate spin on your serves.
Does it have a smaller sweet spot?
Slightly smaller than a Standard shape, but the 16mm core compensates for this. The thick core provides stability across the entire face, so even if you hit near the edge, the ball won't die. It is the perfect balance of forgiveness and performance.
Is it "head heavy"?
Elongated paddles naturally have a slightly higher swing weight than standard paddles. This means they carry more momentum through the ball (great for drives), but might feel slightly slower in fast hands battles until you get used to them.

The "All-Court" Advantage

Most players think they have to choose between Power or Control. This collection bridges the gap. It uses geometry (Elongated) for power and physics (Thick Core) for control.

Reach Digs & Resets

The #1 benefit of this shape is defense. That extra inch of length allows you to reach balls that are dipping at your feet or passing you down the line. Combined with the soft 16mm core, you can take a defensive stretch lunge and turn it into a soft, unattackable drop shot.

Leverage for Spin

Spin is created by brushing the ball. The longer face of an elongated paddle gives you a longer "runway" to brush up on the ball, creating massive topspin. This helps your dinks dip over the net and keeps your deep serves in bounds.

Demo Tip: This shape requires good footwork. Because the sweet spot is higher up, you need to position yourself well. When you demo these, focus on "spacing"—keeping the ball slightly further away from your body than usual.
