Buyer's Guide: The Right Bike for the Ride

Whether you are chasing personal records or chasing the subway, choosing the right machine is about geometry and purpose.

1. Performance (A2 Series)

The A2 line is built for road cycling speed.
Geometry: Aggressive. You lean forward to cut through the wind.
Groupsets: We offer Shimano 105 (the gold standard for mechanical shifting) and SRAM AXS (wireless electronic shifting). If you want precision and low maintenance, go electronic.

2. Utility (Urban & Folding)

These bikes are built for the city.
Folding: Perfect for apartment living or taking onto the train. Small wheels accelerate fast at stoplights.
Upright: Allows you to see over traffic easily.

3. The First Upgrade: Pedals

High-end bikes often come without pedals. Why? Because cyclists have personal preferences (Clipless vs. Flat).
Flat Pedals: Best for commuting. Look for metal pins that grip your sneakers so your foot doesn't slip in the rain.

Sizing Tip: Road bike sizing is precise (52cm, 54cm, etc.). Commuter bike sizing is general (S, M, L). If you are between sizes on a road bike, sizing down usually gives you more control and a racier feel.

Common Questions

Do I need to assemble the bike?
Bikes ship 85% assembled. You will need to attach the handlebars, front wheel, seatpost, and pedals. While we include basic tools, we highly recommend taking it to a local shop for a safety check if you are not mechanically inclined.
What is "AXS"?
AXS (pronounced "Access") is SRAM's wireless electronic shifting system. There are no cables to stretch or rust. You simply tap a button to shift instantly. It runs on rechargeable batteries.
