Buyer's Guide: Which demo should I try?
Paddle technology moves fast. If you are playing with a paddle from 2 years ago, you are playing a different sport.
1. Core Thickness (The 14mm vs. 16mm Debate)
- 16mm (Control): Thicker core means the ball stays on the paddle face longer. This absorbs energy, making it easier to reset hard drives and hit precise dinks. Ideal for 90% of amateur players.
- 14mm (Power): Thinner core is stiffer. The ball pops off the face instantly. Ideal for "Bangers" who want maximum hand speed and drive velocity.
2. Shape (Elongated vs. Standard)
Most demos are Elongated (longer face, shorter handle). This gives you more reach and leverage for power. Standard/Wide shapes have a larger sweet spot and are more forgiving on mishits.

Common Questions
Is every paddle free to demo?
Many items are eligible for our $0 Due Today program (for Alpha Ultra members). Others may require a deposit or a small rental fee. Check the specific product page for the "Trybe-It" badge.
Are these new or used?
These are Demo Units. They have been played with, so they may show ball marks or minor scuffs. They are structurally perfect and sanitized before shipping.
What if I break it?
Normal wear and tear (edge guard scrapes, ball marks) is expected! If the paddle actually breaks (snapped handle) during normal play, you are covered. Just let us know.
