Fastpitch Bat Rental & Demo FAQs

Can I really rent a Fastpitch bat for $0 today?
Yes. If you join the Alpha Ultra program, you can checkout with select fastpitch softball bats for $0 down. You get the bat immediately to use in practice and games. You only pay the membership or rental fee moving forward.
What bats are available for the demo program?
We stock the top performance models including the Easton Ghost, DeMarini Prism, and Louisville Slugger LXT/Xeno. Our inventory changes daily, but we prioritize the bats that travel ball players actually want to use.
Can I return the bat if my daughter doesn't like it?
Yes! That is the whole point of "Trybe It." If the bat feels too heavy, has too much vibration, or just doesn't fit her swing, send it back and swap it for a different model or drop weight.
Does my rental payment go toward buying the bat?
Yes. We offer a "Trybe-To-Buy" option where your payments accumulate toward the final purchase price. If she falls in love with the bat, you don't lose the money you spent renting it.
Do you rent Drop 10 and Drop 11 bats?
We carry all major drops (-8, -9, -10, -11) to ensure every hitter from 10U to College finds the right swing weight.

Guide: How to Choose the Right Fastpitch Bat

Fastpitch softball is a game of split seconds. The difference between a foul ball and a gap shot often comes down to bat control. Use our Fastpitch Bat Rental Program to find the specs that maximize her confidence at the plate.

1. Finding the Right Drop Weight

The "Drop" is the length minus the weight. (e.g., a 32-inch bat that weighs 22oz is a Drop 10).

  • Drop 11 (-11): Best for younger players or slap hitters who need maximum speed.
  • Drop 10 (-10): The standard for most high school and travel ball power hitters.
  • Drop 9 (-9): For elite college-level hitters who can handle more mass for more power.

2. Balanced vs. End-Loaded

  • Balanced (e.g., LXT, Prism): The weight is evenly distributed. Easier to control and keeps swing mechanics clean. Best for 90% of hitters.
  • End-Loaded (e.g., Ghost Advanced): More weight at the end of the barrel. Harder to swing, but generates massive pop if you are strong enough.

Pro Tip: Don't guess on a $400 bat. Rent a Drop 11 and a Drop 10 at the same time. Let her hit them side-by-side in the cage to see which one produces the best exit velocity.
